Benjamin Moore Peale Green HC-121is a mid-tone forest green that's inviting and rich without feeling heavy. Is it right for your space? Keep reading to find out.
Since green is a dominant color in nature, we find it naturally relaxing but finding a deep shade that's not overpowering can be tricky. That's why I love Benjamin Moore Peale Green. It may be a part of the Benjamin Moore Historical Collection but there's nothing old fashioned about it.
Peale Green has a hint of gray for softness but doesn't feel muddy. It doesn't lean too heavy into the blues but is not so yellow that it reads as olive.
What does Peale Green pair with? For woodwork and trim use a soft creamy white like Benjamin Moore White Dove for a more traditional space or a crisp white like Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace for a modern look. For accents, fabrics and accessories add buttery soft leathers, warm charcoal, terra cotta or even blush tones. For fixtures, lighting or hardware try brass, antique gold or even copper.
With an LRV (Light Reflective Value) of 14.15, Peale Green is definitely on the darker side but still manages to feel crisp and fresh. The green tones will be more vibrant in south facing rooms or rooms with a lot of natural light. In north facing rooms, Peale Green will be moodier and cooler but still a great option for a cozy bedroom.
Just because you can find Peale Green in the Historical Collection doesn't mean you can't use it in a more modern space. Pair with a crisp white like Chantilly Lace then add furniture and accessories with clean lines. Finish with a modern light fixture for a stunning space like this bedroom from Melanie Prince Design.
Peale Green makes a beautiful kitchen cabinet color when paired with butcher block counters.
Did you know blue and green make a great pair? I love the fresh country cottage vibe in this laundry room with Peale Green cabinets.
It may be an unexpected shade for a kid's space but Peale Green looks stylish and fun in a little boy's room from Pretty Domesticated.
Want to see if Benjamin Moore Peale Green will work in your space? The best way to find the right color for you home is to try a sample before making a commitment. They are made with two coats of real paint making them100% accurate representation of the final color on your walls. Each easy-to-peel paint sample can be repositioned multiple times to different locations on your wall to compare how it may look in different lighting or to other colors.
